An evening of short films made by local filmmakers. Including world premiere of 'The Men' #ofmd

Today I am here to share with you information about a very special event happening in Alnwick this Friday. Alnwick on Film is My Life Productions yearly showcase of short films made in the north east.

My Life are a not for profit, Community Interest Company that for the last 21 years have worked with hard to reach young people and communities. Their work includes films with Children who are affected by violence, children born with life threatening illnesses and young people who struggle with their mental health.

This year Con O'Neil (Our Flag Means Death, The Batman, Happy Valley) asked director Kris Deedigan to direct and co-produce a short film he had written called 'The Men'. The film stars Con O'Neil and local actor Paul Maddison and was filmed in the summer on the Northumbrian coast.

The film will be the main event at this years screening followed by a Q&A with Con. The crew was made up of former participants of the My Life Productions training scheme. The money from tickets sales goes towards the Alnwick Young Peoples Film Group.

After speaking with Kris at the weekend it was obvious what the Alnwick on Film project means to everyone involved. If you are local to, or able to visit the beautiful historical town of Alnwick this Friday (25th October 2024) you will be witness to a night of indiependant film and incredible local talent.

Book your tickets now here.
